A Brief History
YOUNGER YEARS
Ian Gibbons was born in Glendale, AZ and raised in Madrid, Iowa. The youngest of 4, Ian was drawn to music at a very young age, watching musical acts such as The Wiggles. Going around the house singing anytime he could and hitting any pots and pans as he could. Always wanting to play for people and create original as a living, even telling his parents "One day I'll be a famous rock star". Getting his first guitar at a young age, not knowing how to play it but just being outside and singing strumming at any person that walked past his house and any car driving. Ian discovered his favorite band 'The Beatles' even before he could walk. His parents playing 'The Beatles' anytime they could. They made his love for music greater then it ever was. Even pretending to be part of 'The Beatles' and sing all their great songs.
School Band and First Music
When Ian was in school he join band and choir which helped his musical expansion and ability. He joined his high school musical which showed him more music then just Rock 'n' Roll. At the age of 16 Ian started making his own music and though not great it was still a start. One day when waiting to go on stage for one of his school plays practice Ian was sing in a corner with this crappy guitar he found. Finding out what he was doing Zaccary Cue joined in and sang silly songs with him. This is what eventually became Ian's first band 'The Rusty Dusty Crew!' Making 2 albums and playing one show only for friends and families. As life kept on going So did Ian and Zacc and getting to busy with life they decided to end 'The Rusty Dusty Crew' but keeping their friend ship.
Present Day
Keeping on what Ian learned from making albums with his very first band, he set off to make his first album what became 'Invert' (2020),A folk rock album. With a first solo album Ian started playing at bars and making improvement. While playing at bars and loving playing his own songs he went back to record another album. 'Gibbons' (2021) his second album with all original songs and more folk then that last album. Ian opened at the Madrid Labor Day festival, his first ever! With the big success he was asked to play next year. While making his rounds at bars Ian went back to record another album but this time change it up, more alternative. What aspired was his third album 'Black Lie' (2022). A different sound then his previous albums Ian was inspired but 'Twenty One Pilot,' 'Jonas Brother,' And 'Blank.' He is now making his rounds and at different bars and hopes to check you at one.
